Ratings Consultant
Scott is a Rick Hansen Foundation Accessibility Certification (RHFAC) Professional with over 20 years of experience in construction, facility management, and design. A retired military construction engineer, he brings a practical understanding of building systems, drafting, and inclusive infrastructure planning. Scott now leads Beyond Barriers Consulting, offering accessibility-focused assessments and design support to help organizations create spaces that are functional, inclusive, and aligned with current accessibility standards.
His work is shaped by lived experience with vision and hearing challenges, as well as neurodivergent insight, bringing a thoughtful and inclusive approach to accessibility. He is committed to advancing inclusive environments through collaboration, education, and continuous improvement.
